Master Teacher/Director - over 25 years experience

As a choreographer, teacher and performer I now currently tour many capital cities, regional areas and overseas giving workshops, performances and a private tuition. Last year I was sponsored to teach overseas in London, Madrid, Prague and Moscow. My other role is Director of the City Dance Centre in the heart of Sydneys CBD which teaches all forms of global ethnic dance styles.

Being considered a pioneer in the field of Orientale Dance in Australia, I stage cultural events on a regular basis and work closely with some of the finest Arabic musicians. Our school are regular performers at Sydney’s Mind, Body, Spirit Festival, Egyptian National days and many high profile events run by the Arabic community. As well I run the successful “Hafla” parties which showcase the more advanced students as well as some of Sydney’s finest professional entertainers and guest artists.

In additional I hold annual spiritual - music, culture and dance tours to Bali, Egypt/Morocco, Egypt/Upper Egypt and Turkey and Gyspy Rajasthan. Every January I hold a 5 day Summer School and 3 day Teachers Intensive programme.

My teaching style focuses on musical interpretation, technique and attention to detail. My teaching suits beginners right through to professional dancers and there is also a strong emphasis on the spiritual aspect of the dance. I aim to move students dance toanother level through a deeper historical, physical and spiritual understanding.
